ISS policy updates effective February 2022

Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS) have recently published updates to their benchmark proxy voting policies which will be effective for shareholder meetings on or after 1st February 2022.

 A key update is the reference to non-financial Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) metrics, “ESG performance conditions may be used but targets should be material to the business and quantifiable”. More information may be found at EMEA-Policy-Updates.pdf (issgovernance.com)
